Louisiana Economic Development
Project: Hudson Initiative
Governor
Blanco signed the Hudson Initiative legislation into law in 2005.
This initiative was created to provide additional opportunities for
Louisiana-based small entrepreneurships to participate in contracting
with and providing
goods and services to state agencies. It is a race and gender neutral,
goal-oriented program encouraging state agencies and contractors who
receive state contracts to use certified Small Entrepreneurships.
To participate, small entrepreneurships must meet qualification requirements and be certified by Louisiana Economic Development using a system developed by Technology Engineers.
The Internet-based system allows small entrepreneurs to apply for certification to the program by entering qualifying data online, where it is then reviewed by LED staff for approval. Our staff of graphic designers and software engineers, working with LED professionals, completed the system in a short period of time with excellent results.

Project: LEDPro
The LEDPro system is the central internal information source for managing the economic development programs administered by Louisiana Economic Development.
In 2005, Technology Engineers was contacted by LED to correct internal problems with the system. LEDPro was created using ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server. During this period we supported LEDPro, corrected many of the most severe data integrity problems, made significant performance improvements and added new functionality to the system.
