Moving Forward with LED Network Support
Technology Engineers & Louisiana Economic Development are working together to better LED's network support. Stabilizing network operations, re-engineering internal management systems and exploiting web interfaces are just a few of the steps currently being taken to improve LED's network. Technology Engineers analyzed the LED's network and presented recommendations in August 2006. Work began immediately to implement all of the recommendations. Installation of six Dell servers and existing file print servers were replaced by September.
The strategic goal of Technology Engineers is transforming LED network operations into a stable support function. LED should expect normal, orderly network support, including regular hardware/software maintenance and upgrades sometime in the near future.
